Getting Your fact right about the costs for Divorce

Pre-Planning your Divorce

Divorce should be planned just like a marriage if you want to come out with your sanity intact

Here at Divorce Negotiator we are passionate about helping people and so we are offering you a sounding board to ensure that you avoid the pitfalls that so many others have suffered

Get your facts right

I have never come across two divorces that are identical but I have heard more times than I like to remember someone telling me that a friend told them they are entitled to something which is not always correct. In order to understand, I need to ask questions to gain the similarity and in most cases there is a fundamental difference which will not entirely apply to my client. This may be that the spouse (friend) receives £2000 a month spousal maintenance but the husband of my client  is only netting £2000 a month. You can see why my client will not be getting the same as her best friend. Another scenario which comes up time and time again is the friends husband was not required to share his pension. I generally find in this scenario that the person in question gave his wife 100% of the equity of the matrimonial home to offset his pension, or something similar. There are so many people offering advice based on their own or friends experiences. More often (not always) the advice is incorrect. So make sure you know exactly what, where and when but make sure you get from someone who knows the law.

If you are going to get divorced then make sure you have planned it right for everyone to come out the best they can. Your in-law may still need to be in your life, parents still need to be in children’s lives. Did you know that children become are more grounded when their divorced parents were still able to talk?

We are here to listen and we don’t charge to listen so why not call today and put one step in place.
